ADUR ESTUARY: Seven Oystercatchers, 10 Turnstones, two Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, a Redshank, a Sparrowhawk, two Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Chiffchaff and a Mistle Thrush (Bt).

GORING GAP: A BLACK REDSTART at the pumping station, two Mediterranean Gulls, a Blackcap, a Kestrel, two Skylarks, a Pheasant, five Turnstones, four Sanderlings, six Red-breasted Mergansers, two Great Crested Grebes and a Meadow Pipit (Bt). Also PULLOM [heard only].

OFFINGTON: Red Kite seen and photographed (AM)

SALVINGTON: Two Linnets, five Meadow Pipits north and two Buzzards over, plus a Blackcap (NB).

SHOREHAM: Wheatear on beach (Bt) and two Purple Sandpipers still on harbour east arm (SOS).

STEYNING: Mallard with 10 ducklings in one garden and three Grey Herons over another. Also three Cetti's Warblers singing at NE corner of field east of Iron Bridge, plus four Chiffchaffs and a Bullfinch (SOS).

STEYNING HORSESHOE WOODS: A Firecrest, a Marsh Tit and a Treecreeper (SOS).

UPPER BEEDING (Smuggler's Lane [borders]): Four Wigeon, Greylag Goose, Canada Goose and three Chiffchaffs (Bt).

WEST WORTHING: Observations at home this morning included 20 or so Chaffinches, a Linnet and three Cormorants east, while a Rook was heard, a Coal Tit visited and five Jackdaws flew over. A pair of Blackcaps was next door (DKC).
