GORING BEACH: 22 Brent Geese east. Dave Smith

GORING GAP: 2 SLAVONIAN GREBES on the sea, drifting west towards Bluebird Cafe in Ferring. Ralph Simpson/Nick Oliver

MARINE GARDENS0845-0945 and watched a millpond like sea with very little moving and not even an interesting grebe to get excited about!. John Newnham

     Late morning there were 45 Red-breasted Mergansers on the sea and a Red-throated Diver flew east. Two Sanderlings and a Turnstone were along the beach and a Peregrine flew over. David Campbell

PATCHING POND: A female Shoveler was on the pond early morning. Ralph Simpson, a little later 4 Buzzards over and 2 of each Canada and Greylag Geese

PATCHING SEWAGE WORKS: A YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER was found by Clive Hope at lunchtime, the bird showed well around the sewage work perimeter fence and called just a few times. A Firecrest was also showing well and there was a good number of Chiffchaff and Goldcrests in the area. Three Grey Wagtails also noted here and at least two Redwings.

SHOREHAM HARBOUR: Female/1st-winter male BLACK REDSTART still at fort. Chiffchaff along Beach Road.

SOMPTING: Female/1st-winter male BLACK REDSTART still in garden and three Sparrowhawks flew over (Little Egret on roof yesterday). Shemi via SOS

WIDEWATER LAGOON: 20 Brent Geese flew east offshore.
