BRAMBER BROOKS: I walked along the River Adur alongside Bramber Brooks, where I caught up with the juvenile Goosander which has been in the area, though it was very skittish and I only saw it in flight. There was also a Kingfisher, two Fieldfares, a Cetti's Warbler and a Reed Bunting. David Campbell

Highlights from a visit to Bramber Brooks NR this afternoon were 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 female Bullfinch, 1 Song Thrush, c10 Redwing, 1 Kestrel and 1 Buzzard plus ca.6 Blackbirds. Peter Chase via SOS

BROOKLANDS PARK:  Five Teals (a pair and three drakes), a drake POCHARD, a scattering of Moorhens and Coots, and a fly-over Sparrowhawk. Steve Gilbert via SOS

GORING GAP: Stopping at Goring Gap produced nine Mediterranean Gulls and two Lesser Black-backed Gulls in the roost field, though there were only three Turnstones. David Campbell

SHOREHAM FORT: An adult Purple Sandpiper was on the jetty with 12 Turnstones. What was presumably the same female-type Black Redstart which was reported yesterday put in a brief appearance along the fenceline and a Rock Pipit was feeding. David Campbell

WIDEWATER LAGOON: At Widewater this afternoon two Kingfishers, four Mute Swans (three adults and a first winter), four Teals (all drakes), four Little Grebes, one Cormorant, one Redshank and a male Stonechat. Steve Gilbert via SOS
