ADUR ESTUARY: A Bar-tailed Godwit, a Brent Goose, Red-breasted Merganser flying upriver plus 2 Kingfishers. SOS

GORING GAP: 30 adults, 2 2ndw, 2 1stw Mediterranean Gulls on field, 60+ House Martins, 100+ Swallows, 3 Stonechats, 1 Brent Goose flew over rough area w. 4 Little Egrets on field, 115 Turnstones. Garry Messenbird

LANCING RING: Less frenetic this morning, but still strong Redpoll and other finch passage, double figures of Crossbills, alba and Grey Wagtails, first Fieldfares and lots of grounded thrushes. Slightly fewer warblers, only managed 1 Firecrest. James Grundy

SALVINGTON: 2 Swallows flew west early on, 32 Goldfinch were around in one flock. Nick Bond

WIDEWATER: News broke around lunchtime of a confiding  GREY PHALAROPE on the western lagoon. The bird performed well and proved quite popular as it fed along the waters edge by the walkway dividing the lagoons. The Mandarin Duck was still around, the Wigeon, at least 2 Kingfishers, 2 Rock Pipits and a Little Egret
