ADUR ESTUARY: GREEN SANDPIPER and Common Sandpiper. Bt. "Opposite the airport, the tide halfway down, nice to see a few waders - 31 Ringed Plovers (two juvs), four Dunlin (two ads, two juvs) and two Oystercatcher and two Little Egrets and two Swallows flew south." Also two Whimbrel and Wheatear SOS
THE DOWNS (Annington Hill/Steyning Bowl): "Four Ravens appear to have joined the resident corvids at the pig farm. I’ve seen them several times in the last ten days. Earlier a mewing Buzzard made me look upwards and I was fortunate to see a Peregrine flying south, very fast but seemingly effortlessly. Other birds included Linnets, Goldfinches, singleton Meadow Pipit, Pied Wagtail, Stonechat and Wheatear." SOS
