BROOKLANDS PARK: The usual Blackcap , Cetti's and Reed Warbler in song plus a yaffling Green Woodpecker. 3 Willow Warbler with one bird showing really well. On the beach little movement noted with a few distant Gannet and Sandwich Terns. On the lake the adult Mute Swans were proudly protection their buoyant 7 fluff balls. With initially a single House & Sand Martin dropping into feed there were a little later around 8 House Martin and a couple of Swallows (BFF). Two Cetti's Warblers, 10 House Martins and two Sand Martins (Bt).

FERRING RIFE: Just south of country centre 2 Reed Warblers, a Willow Warbler and a Reed Bunting (KH).
SHOREHAM: Long-eared Owl flew in off sea and inland this morning. Willow Warbler singing at end of Dolphin Road (SOS). Also 16 Common Scoters, Whimbrel, 25 Sandwich Terns, two Arctic Skuas and 25 Gannets (Bt).
SOUTHWICK BEACH: BLACK-THROATED DIVER, PALE-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE, 10 Kittiwake and a Rock Pipit (Bt).
WEST WORTHING: A Willow Warbler was singing enthusiastically in the garden this morning, while an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull which landed on a rooftop was soon seen off by the local Herring Gulls, the Magpies were still maintaining their nest (they've been gathering mud from below the leak in the garden pond) and a Coal Tit was singing distantly. In the evening, when we popped to the shops, the adult female Peregrine was seen (DKC).
WIDEWATER LAGOON: Common Sandpiper, two Shelducks, six Whimbrel, a Dunlin, 40 Sandwich Terns, a Little Egret, a Wheatear and a Swallow (Bt).
