THE DOWNS (between Steyning and Lancing Ring): 'Decent numbers' of Corn Buntings, 'a few' Buzzards, two Kestrels, a couple of small groups of Linnets, a handful of Meadow Pipits, three Yellowhammers, and some singing Skylarks (SOS).
GORING: Red Kite north (SOS).
GORING GAP: Two White Wagtails reported (Bt).
LANCING: Two Common Scoters, Dark-bellied Brent Goose, Red-breasted Merganser, four Oystercatchers, Razorbill and three Lesser Black-backed Gulls (Bt).
MILL HILL: Red Kite, Chiffchaff, Peregrine, Buzzard and Kestrel (SOS).
SHOREHAM HARBOUR: No sign of any Purple Sandpipers but two Turnstones (SOS).
WIDEWATER LAGOON: Female Red-breasted Merganser (SOS).
WORTHING PIER: Six Turnstones (SOS).
