NEPCOTE GALLOPS: A Wryneck was a cracking find by Nick and Claire Oliver in the lower paddocks mid-morning. The bird showed well on and off, but was last seen at 11.30. Well deserved for the time the pair have been putting into the area. A supporting cast of at least 5 Redstart, 4 Whinchat, 10+ Wheatears, 4 Spotted Flycatchers, Lesser Whitethroat, 2+ Whitethroats, good numbers of House Martins and Swallows with small numbers of Sand Martin also moving through, attracting a Hobby. 2 Buzzards, Raven, a few Yellow Wagtails and a Firecrest near the car park added to the variety.
