GORING GAP: A quick check around the fields revealed very little in gusty conditions. A couple of Skylark, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull and 3 Great Black-backed Gulls. Nick Bond

GORING: A slow watch off Goring this morning between 08.45 and 11.00 ind in a very strong ESE wind: Red-throated Diver 2W, Fulmar 2W, Brent Goose 5E, Common Scoter 3E, Red-breasted Merganser 9W, 7E and Black-headed Gull 16E. Dave Smith and Dorian Mason

MARINE GARDENS: 48 Red-breasted Mergansers and a Gannet offshore. Adult Mediterranean Gull flew over and Meadow Pipit north. David Campbell

PATCHING POND: 4 Canada Geese, 6 Mallards and 2 of each of Coot and Moorhen was the best I could muster on the pond, 2 Greenfinch nearby. No sign of the Yellow-browed Warbler at the sewage works. 10c Chiffchaff, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Goldcrest, 7 Pied Wagtail and 8 Redwings were in the area. Nick and Martin Bond
