EAST GORING BEACH: Good seawatch for three hours this morning produced a GREAT NORTHERN DIVER E, 25 Red-throated Divers E &W, 160 Razorbills, 2 Guillemots, 1050 distant Auk Sp., 30 Kittiwakes W, seven Wigeon W, a few Common Scoters & Great Crested Grebes (10), 29 Red-breasted Mergansers and 2 distant unidentified Diver sp. RIVER ADUR: A walk along the Adur from the Cement Works to St Peter’s Church in Upper Beeding produced a Wigeon, two EGYPTIAN GEESE, two Lapwing, Common Sandpiper, Sparrowhawk, two Kingfishers, two Kestrels, Raven, 32 Redwings, two Fieldfares, two Stonechats, Grey Wagtail and four Meadow Pipits. No sign however of any GOOSANDERS. Gareth and Paul James
