ADUR ESTUARY: In the half and hour or so before the rain set in this afternoon, the Toll Bridge to Norfolk Bridge reach yielded three Grey Plovers, about five Dunlins, 19 Redshanks, 52 Turnstones, 24 Oystercatchers, three Grey Herons and about 10 Little Egrets. Again a Grey Wagtail at Ropetackle. Steve Gilbert via SOS

BROOKLANDS PARK: A Raven heard from the north end was the most notable bird for the site. There were fewer birds moving overhead today, with just two redpolls, four Siskins, 40 Goldfinches, two Linnets and six Chaffinches but 12 Skylarks, including a flock of 11. Two Cetti's Warblers, a Mistle Thrush, a Kestrel, a female Sparrowhawk, 12 Teal and the Mute Swan family were also logged. David Campbell

The Whitethroat was still in the same Bush from yesterday, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Grey Wagtail and 1 Firecrest and 1 Chiffchaff along the stream. Richard Ives

MILL HILL: Two Firecrests.

STEYNING BOWL: Black Redstart.

WIDEWATER LAGOON: Very unproductive visit today, but given the building work and large number of dogs and pedestrians not altogether surprising. Apart from the usual resident House Sparrows and Starlings there were just three Mute Swans, three Black-headed Gulls and a lone Redshank (pic.) Unusually no ducks or Little Grebes.
