CISSBURY RING AND MONARCH'S WAY: "An early morning stroll around Cissbury today produced a constant westerly movement of migrating Siskin, with an estimated 225 birds during my visit. Around the Ring, 20 Blackcaps, 20 Chiffchaffs, Redstart, four Wheatears and three Spotted Flycatchers.
Walking out onto Monarch's Way as far as the weedy field on the north side, it was full of birds including four Wheatears, Whinchats, 35 Corn Buntings, 120 Goldfinches, 100 Linnets, three Stonechats and a flock of 30 Yellow Wagtails. " SOS
1 Redstart, 10 Chiffchaffs, 10 Blackcaps and 26 Siskins. No hirundines - eerily quiet. Richard Ives
