CISSBURY RING: Lovely day walking around the Monarchs Way paths and Cissbury Ring. Best birds were 1 Whinchat, 2 Redstart, Hobby and 100s of Swift. 18 species of butterfly including 2 Clouded Yellow, 2 Dark Green Fritillary, 1 Brown Argus and lots of Wall Browns. Chris and Juliet Moore

DURRINGTON REC: A Willow Warbler in sub-song was heard early morning in the east side, a Clouded Yellow butterfly was seen in the afternoon, only my 2nd record here. Nick Bond

FERRING RIFE: Thirty species logged this morning incuded: Little Egret 8, Grey Heron 2, Sparrowhawk one, Swallow 6, Sand Martin 2, Willow Warbler 4, Chiffchaff one, Whitethroat 5, Lesser Whitethroat one, Garden Warbler one, Blackcap 4, Pied Wagtail 10 (in paddocks) Greenfinch 4. Clive Hope
