ADUR ESTUARY: A Cuckoo, six Mute Swans, c100 Swifts, an Oystercatcher, eight Little Egrets, seven Swallows, two Cetti's Warblers, three Sedge Warblers, three Reed Warblers and three Reed Buntings - Bt.


FERRING RIFE:Two Canada Geese flew west, two Reed Warblers singing (one a migrant in a seafront garden), a singing Reed Bunting, five Gannets offshore. Also a pod of at least six Bottlenose Dolphins following a dragnet east mid-morning - David Campbell.

GORING GAP: SPOONBILL flew east over land at 7.31am, Cuckoo landed at land, Mediterranean Gull flew west, 10 Swifts north and a Lesser Black-backed Gull - David Campbell.

RIVER ADUR (tollbridge to cement works): Two Cetti's Warblers and two Grey Herons - SOS

SHOREHAM: 30+ Swifts flew north at 7pm - SOS

STEEP DOWN: Male QUAIL two thirds of the way along the footpath on the west side briefly c2.30pm; also many Corn Buntings and Skylarks and a few Meadow Pipits - SOS.

WORTHING: White Stork flew east over Lyndhurst Road at 6am - SOS
