ADUR ESTUARY: Two Shelducks and an Oystercatcher (SOS). Also Swift, 15 Mallards, Whimbrel, two Lesser Black-backed Gulls, a Kestrel, two Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, seven House Martins, a Sedge Warbler, a Reed Warbler and a Lesser Whitethroat (Bt).

BRAMBER BROOKS: Cetti's Warbler (Bt).

BROOKLANDS PARK: An early morning walk in the cold northerlies produced a Common Sandpiper on the raft, a Garden Warbler, two Cetti's Warblers, a Grey Wagtail, a Reed Bunting, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Grey Heron, a House Martin, two Reed Warblers, two Swifts, three Swallows, the family of Mute Swans, plus two Oystercatchers along the beach (DKC). Also Sandwich Terns and Gannets offshore (SOS).

THE DOWNS (between Cissbury and No-Man's-Land): On the downs between No-Man's-Land and Cissbury, Ingrid and I had a Peregrine, a Corn Bunting, four House Martins, seven Swallows, a Mistle Thrush, two Yellowhammers and three Red-legged Partridges (DKC).

SHOREHAM: A Gannet and 18 Sandwich Terns flew east offshore; three Oystercatchers flew over High Street (SOS).

STEEP DOWN: Eight Corn Buntings and two Grey Partridges (Bt).

WEST WORTHING: At home in Worthing in the middle of the day, two Mediterranean Gulls flew over and a Blackcap was singing just across the road. A quick trip to the shops produced good views of female Peregrine (DKC).
