CISSBURY RING: The first ringing at Cissbury for what seems like an age was very enjoyable this morning, with Val and Pete. Catches included two Marsh Tits - a retrap and a new bird, as well as a couple of Redwings (with one or two additional small groups overhead) and Greenfinches, a retrap Firecrest, a Bullfinch and a Chiffchaff. Sightings included two Woodcocks flushed, an adult Mediterranean Gull, a Red Kite, a Yellowhammer, two Ravens, four Meadow Pipits overhead and two Mallards (a rarity for the site) (DKC).
