ADUR AT CEMENT WORKS: Common Sandpiper still (BirdTrack).

ADUR ESTUARY: Whimbrel again (BirdTrack).

CISSBURY RING: A morning ringing session with Val and Pete was quiet for catching but did include a retrap Firecrest and a couple of Bullfinches. At least two Woodcocks were busy flying around in the pre-dawn gloom, while two Tawny Owls were having a hoot-off. Other observations included three Red Kites, a Raven, two Buzzards, a Redwing and a Meadow Pipit (DKC).

GORING GAP: c30 Skylarks and a Ringed Plover in the roost field (GJ).

LONG FURLONG: Red Kite and Kestrel (GJ).

SHOREHAM FORT: Purple Sandpiper and four Turnstones still (BirdTrack).

WIDEWATER LAGOON: Six Mute Swans, eight Teal, a Red-breasted Merganser, four Little Grebes, two Little Egrets, two Redshanks, a Stonechat and three Meadow Pipits (BirdTrack).
