ADUR ESTUARY: Today on Adur Estuary in Shoreham (plus river bank between Toll Bridge and Railway Bridge ) a few Redshank, 3 Greenshanks, 3 Common Sandpipers, 40 + Ringed Plovers, 6 Dunlin, Turnstones, 10 Lapwing plus 3 ( including juv.) Sandwich Terns (SOS).
CISSBURY RING: A Sedge Warbler, a Reed Warbler, 58 Blackcaps, six Chiffchaffs, a Goldcrest, a Whitethroat and three Willow Warblers were processed during ringing. A Tawny Owl, two Ravens, a Sparrowhawk and a Kestrel were also noted (VB/PD).
LADYWELL: Birds processed during ringing included a Kingfisher, a Cetti's Warbler, three Reed Warblers, a Whitethroat, two Garden Warblers, 53 Blackcaps, 32 Chiffchaffs, 14 Willow Warblers, a Goldcrest and a Chaffinch. Other birds included a Sparrowhawk, four Buzzards, a Tawny Owl, three Sand Martins, 10 Swallows, 50 House Martins, an additional Cetti's Warbler, 10 Long-tailed Tits (JN/MM).
