CISSBURY RING: It turned out to be a productive ringing session, with Spotted Flycatcher and two Reed Warblers the headline birds caught by the time I left. Ringing produced 51 Blackcaps, 11 Chiffchaffs, 18 Goldcrests Birds noted included a juvenile Peregrine, three Siskins, a Tree Pipit, seven Yellow Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, 15 Meadow Pipits, two Yellowhammers, a Bullfinch, 40 House Martins, 10 Swallows, two Ravens and a Tawny Owl (DKC/VB/FD).
WORTHING : A steady passage early morning with House Martins heading eastbound over Rogate Road, in several pulse which amounted to at least a couple of hundred of birds feeding up en-route. A Chiffchaff in nearby gardens, little moving overhead, Holly Blue, Painted Lady Large and Small White, Speckled Wood and Red Admiral were all recorded within the park nearby (NB)
