GORING GAP: A couple of brief but productive spells of seawatching coverage yieled a redhead Goosander on the sea and eastward passage involving nine Eiders, a Little Gull, a Great Northern Diver, a Shelduck, 50 Red-throated Divers, 185 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 13 Red-breasted Mergansers and a Curlew. A flock of five Pintails headed west and on the sea were 14 Great Crested Grebes and a further seven Red-breasted Mergansers and three Red-throated Divers. An adult and a 3CY Mediterranean Gull were along the beach. Presumably the same 4 Shoveler were present, showing well on the low tide along the shoreline. A pair of Mediterranean Gull's were also displaying(below) on the north fields and 2 Lesser black-backed Gull's were amongst the roost. 1 adult Greater black-backed Gull was ringed (details to follow) DKC/NB
