Shovelers, three
Red-throated Divers, eight
Red-breasted Mergansers and nine
Great Crested Grebes at sea. Two
Curlews headed east and a count of waders on the rising tide revealed a
Redshank, 29
Oystercatchers, 23
Grey Plovers, 50
Dunlin, three
Sanderlings, 15
Turnstones and three
Ringed Plovers. A
Snipe flew from the rough field and an adult
Mediterranean Gull was feeding along the shore. Passerines included two
Stonechats, eight
Meadow Pipits and four
Skylarks.
