GORING GAP: 1 Fulmar w, 6 Mediterranean Gulls, 4 Great-crested Grebes, 6 Red-breasted Mergansers (RI). A Wheatear was in the south east corner at 17.55 (NO)

SALVINGTON: 2 Linnets flew west over Rogate Road early morning (NB)

ANGMERING: Red Kite low east over Downs Way (GDM)

BROOKLANDS PARK: A Redwing was by the service road, a singing Blackcap by the old golf course and a noticeable increase in Chiffchaffs. A female Chaffinch was still around and a Greenfinch singing by the lake. On the lake itself there was 3 Teal, 4 Cormorants, 2 GBBG, 1 LBBG (NB)

FERRING: 3 Chiffchaffs and a singing Willow Warbler at the stables, no sign today of the Ring Ouzel (RI)

GORING GAP: 2 Egyptian Geese east and a Swallow in off sea (RI)

29th March 2022

CISSBURY RING: A Black Redstart and Wheatear at end of Rifle Range (MG) 

EAST PRESTON: 4 White Wagtails in bare field (location below) (PJ)

FERRING: The Ring Ouzel still present in the horse paddocks west of the Ferring country centre (PJ/NO et al)

GORING GAP: 6 Great-crested Grebes, 4 Red-breasted Mergansers (RI) 2 Wheatears were around the pumping station this afternoon around the southern edge and nearby field (GJ), 3 Mute Swans flew east over the gap around 3.45pm (NB/GDM)

FERRING: A Ring Ouzel found by CH in the western most horse paddocks from Ferring Country centre, a Wheatear was also present when the Ouzel was found but had moved on (CH/NB/GDM et al)

GORING GAP: A Wheatear by the rough field (RS), 1 Red-throated Diver, 6 Red-breasted Mergansers, 8 Great-crested Grebes(RI)

GORING: 2 Sandwich Terns, 2 Shovelers a few Mediterranean Gulls (DS)

LOWER SALVINGTON: Siskins 16E

PATCHING POND: A Peregrine Falcon over to the north this morning (RI)

WEST WORTHING: at least one Brambling over my garden with the Chaffinches. Light trickle of Siskins, Chaffinches and Linnet (DKC)

ADUR ESTUARY: Single Avocet south of the old toll bridge

GORING GAP: 3 Garganey flew east at 7.05am including 2 drakes. c94 Siskin flew east along the beach throughout the morning in various sized flocks, a few Sandwich Terns flew east, still a few Red-breasted Mergansers and Great-crested Grebes on the sea and Meadow Pipits were trickling in off. On the beach were c30 Sanderling, a few Turnstone and Oystercatchers and singles of Little Egret and Ringed Plover. (GDM/NB/GJ)

LANCING: 4 Red Kites over (RI)

MARINE GARDENS: Dark phased Arctic Skua E @10.40am another Skua sp shortly afterwards (MG)

WORTHING BEACH: Adult Yellow-legged Gull east (MG)

ADUR ESTUARY: Drake Garganey near old Tolbridge briefly this morning

BROOKLANDS PARK: A few more birds around this afternoon, a pair of Kestrels displaying over the old golf course was encouraging, a Little Grebe, a Grey Heron, 2 Cormorants, 6 Teals, 6 GBBG's, singing Chiffchaff (NB)

WEST WORTHING : vismig over Boundary Road this morning: 50 Siskins, 70 Chaffinches, 3 Linnets, 6 Meadow Pipits, Ring-necked Parakeet, Buzzard, 2 Rooks, Stock Dove, 2 Jackdaws and Pied/White Wagtail all east (DKC)

WORTHING BEACH: 8 Pintail E, 1 Red-throated Diver E and 7 Mediterranean Gulls 
on the sea at 16.30 (RI)
