LANCING/BROOKLANDS PARK: Starting at Lancing beach at 11.30am, then moving along the coast to the beach huts opposite Brooklands produced a continual stream of Razorbills, a guestimate of 5,500 in 2 hours. There were several individual Red-throated Divers, a group of three and a cluster of five! Gannet and Great Crested Grebe, two Pintail, three Teal, seven Brent Geese, 10 Kittiwake including one sitting on the sea just off the beach, and although a struggle to i.d. we eventually had a good view of a solitary Guillemot. Dense mist made distant birds hard to see but fortunately these were fairly close to shore. Nearly all the birds were heading W. Mark and Karen Weston via SOS
