ADUR ESTUARY: "On the intertidal mud by the Airport this morning were, on the falling tide, 82 Ringed Plover, 13 Dunlin and single Whimbrel, Oystercatcher and Knot." SOS
"I haven't previously come across a Lapwing on the Adur Rec, although others may well have done so, but there was one walking about in the middle late this afternoon, apparently preferring its own company to that of the 14 (at least) on the saltmarsh on the other side of the road. Otherwise fairly quiet during a whistle stop tour on the bike south of the Toll Bridge. The wader hot spot opposite the airfield briefly had seven Ringed Plovers and one Turnstone. Elsewhere about 15 Oystercatchers, one Redshank, ten Little Egrets and a Grey Heron." SOS

WORTHING: A Willow Warbler moved through the garden first thing, when the male Peregrine flew over. David Campbell
