ADUR ESTUARY: On a falling tide this afternoon there were 18 Ringed Plovers and 12 Dunlins, along with a Little Egret, on the east bank of the river. On the airport side a drainage outfall was attracting up to 12 Pied Wagtails, including several juveniles, one of which appeared to take exception to the presence of a Meadow Pipit and chased it off in hot pursuit a couple of times. South of the main road there was a Whimbrel and 22 Lapwings, and by the Norfolk Bridge four Oystercatchers and 14 Turnstones. SOS

BROOKLANDS PARK: "A couple of hours wandering around Brooklands and the park this morning was fairly productive. 15 Willow Warbler and at least 6 Chiffchaff with a few Blackcap, the highlight being a Pied Flycatcher in the tall trees south of the old paddling pool. Later on another birder had a second Pied Fly in the northern part of the park just after I had left." SOS
