ADUR ESTUARY: BLACK-TAILED GODWIT still by airport along with a Greenshank (SOS). Also two Reed Warblers (Bt).

BROOKLANDS PARK: Not much in the way of migration,stunning Green Woodpecker feeding on the ground and singing Coal TitCommon Whitethroat holding territory in the scrub near the railway line. The usual BlackcapSong ThrushCetti's and Goldcrest all singing. The old golf course held little just a few Goldfinch and 2 passing Swallows whilst overhead 6 adult Med Gulls flew east. From the beach the sea was very quiet except for a handful of loafing Sandwich Terns and 2 Med Gulls east. The usual suspects around the lake with a Reed Warbler singing with a pair of Reed Bunting holding territory (BFF).

FERRING: Three Bonxies on the sea off Ferring at 1p.m. flew off east at 1.30. Another five Med Gulls went past (CH).

FINDON PARK FARM: Lesser Whitethroat (Bt).

GORING-BY-SEA: Five probable POMARINE SKUA at 17:09 (RBA). Also an Arctic Skua, 22 Brent Goose, a Collared Dove, six Common Gull, 66 Common Scoter, 14 Gannet, a Great Skua, a Little Egret, a Mediterranean Gull, 20 Sandwich Tern, a Swallow, a Whimbrel and a Yellow Wagtail.

GORING GAP: 10 Arctic Skua, 51 Bar-tailed Godwit, 23 Black-headed Gull, five Blackcap, 22 Brent Goose, three Chiffchaff, 12 Common Gull, 25 Common Scoter, 11 Cormorant, four Curlew, 13 Dunlin, 51 Gannet, nine Great Black-backed Gull, two Great Crested Grebe, six Great Skua, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, seven Greenfinch, a Greenshank, a Grey Heron, 18 Grey Plover, a House Martin, three Jackdaw, two Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Little Egret, a Meadow Pipit, 84 Mediterranean Gull, two Pheasant, a Pied/White Wagtail, a POMARINE SKUA, two Red-throated Diver, a Sanderling, 100 Sandwich Tern, five Shelduck, three Skylark, three Stock Dove, four Swallow, 20 Turnstone, a Wheatear, 20 Whimbrel and a Whitethroat (Bt).

HIGHDOWN: Three Lesser Whitethroats, seven Greylags, a  Wheatear, two Grey Partridges, three Yellowhammers, a Reed Bunting, a Bullfinch, two Whitethroats, 10 Blackcaps, six Chiffchaffs, four Swallows, 12 Skylarks, a Sparrowhawk, four Buzzards, a Grey Heron and two Lesser Black-backed Gulls (Bt).

KINGSTON GORSE: Wheatear (Bt).

SOUTHWICK BEACH: Four Arctic Skua and 250 Bar-tailed Godwit (Bt).

STEYNING: Five Swifts (SOS).

WIDEWATER LAGOON: Four Whimbrel and several Mediterranean Gulls offshore (SOS).

WORTHING: 31 Sanderlings, 15 Mediterranean Gulls, a Common Scoter, four Dark-bellied Brent Geese, eight Gannets, seven Whimbrel, a Sand Martin and a Little Egret (SOS).
