ADUR ESTUARY: BLACK-TAILED GODWITBar-tailed Godwit reported, a Common Sandpiper, six Whimbrel, two Shelducks, three Little Egrets, a Reed Bunting and two Whitethroats, a Cetti's Warbler (Bt).

DURRINGTON: Eight Buzzards (SOS).

FERRING RIFEA Red Kite, eight Whitethroats, two Reed Buntings, seven Swallows, a Willow Warbler, Grey Heron, a Sparrowhawk, four Chiffchaffs 17 Mallards (Bt).

GORING GAP: 45 Whimbrel, two Shovelers, two Shelducks, nine Mediterranean Gulls, five Blackcaps, three Whitethroats, 38 Turnstones and two Oystercatchers (Bt).

HIGHDOWN: Lesser Whitethroat and Marsh Tit (Bt).

OFFINGTONRed Kites over this morning and 4 Buzzards this afternoon. Also the pair of Dunnocks that were nesting in the hedge are now busy feeding there young (AM)

PATCHING HILL: Raven, two Yellowhammers, two Marsh Tits, four Kestrels and two Whitethroats (Bt).

RUSTINGTON: Two White Storks of unknown origin flew north (RBA).

SALVINGTONAlthough very likely to be part of the Knepp introduction scheme, it was still nice to see 4 White Storks over Durrington rec today before thermaling northwards towards Findon, they were were earlier seen over Littlehampton and Rustington, the fine weather also produced a Peregrine over, 5 Buzzards and a Red Kite. A Yellow Wagtail was also seen heading north overhead at 8am, good selection of springtime butterflies around too (NB/NO)

WEST WORTHING: Birding at home first thing was quiet again, with a Blackcap, a Linnet and two Lesser Black-backed Gulls the best on offer during breakfast (DKC).

WORTHING: CROSSBILL flew east at 8.10am (SOS).
